Zyxel Introduces Four New Gigabit Switches

Network specialist Zyxel has four new Gigabit switches in its range. All models are available in a Power over Ethernet version. The prices start at just under 1000 francs.

Zyxel has added XGS2210 series to its line of managed L2 Gigabit switches. As the Swiss exclusive distributor Studerus announces, the new series consists of four different models.

Two of the four new switches are equipped with 24 and two each with 48 RJ-45 ports. All devices have four 10 Gigabit fiber ports each. With the 10 Gigabit uplink, the switches are suitable for high-bandwidth networks.

375 watts output power

Features such as multicast management, IGMP snooping, MVR, and voice VLAN would make them ideal data managers for VoIP, video conferencing, IPTV, and video surveillance solutions. The switches all support static routing under IPv4 and IPv6.

According to the announcement, all four models are available in a Power over Ethernet version. The ports then deliver up to 30 watts for compatible devices. The switches offer a total output of 375 watts.
